Speculation in the Singapore paddock about Fernando Alonso is that he will be in a Ferrier powered toro rosso red bull in 2016

I for one hope it happens he needs a good car to win a WDC

Max will beat him and end his career.

Another veteran Italian journalist is quoted by the Spanish newspaper AS: "With this Ferrari, Fernando would be fighting for the title, just as he did in 2012."

Hilarious! Keep dreaming... Senna wouldn't be battling for the title in the SF15-T, let alone Alonso.

So moving from a backmarker team to a mid-field team? What's the point? TR wil never win a WDC. This rumour is nonsense.

In retrospect, he should've just stayed at Ferrari. Having moved, I see the only two options as McLaren or retire. And the way McLaren are looking right now, retiring is probably the better option.

It's a shame, but as an Alonso fan I've now pretty much accepted his will go done in history as a career that never fulfilled its potential. I really think his day as top dog in the sport is gone: Hamilton is just as good, Vettel is arguably doing every bit as fine a job at Ferrari as Alonso did, and then you've guys like Sainz and Verstappen coming through with 15 years ahead of them, whereas Alonso has at most 3-4 more years. With the cost and the baggage, why would anyone bother?

Vettel is currently in a good position...

Nothing here that can't be discussed in the silly season thread.
