Does anyone have any photo's of Trevor in action on the Brian Woolley tuned Greeves Silverstone?

Trevor was one of my racing heroes back in the day, I used to love watching him put one over the factory bikes on that little Greeves. I remember his silver open face "space" helmet and the bandana/neckerchief flapping in the wind behind him as he rode. I remember watching him dicing with Phil Read & Bill Ivy on the factory Yamaha fours at Mallory, I think he managed to split the duo in a 250 heat on one occasion.  I know that he also rode Brian's very fast 50cc Yamaha, with the trick gearbox, two speed axle arangement. I remember seeing that bike at either the Newark or Stafford shows, where it was auctioned.

I think that in later years he owned a Volvo dealership in/around the Audenshaw area that he came from and that he had a lot to do with Darley Moor racing club. Sadly I think he is no longer with us. Does anyone have any further information that they can add? :D

Hi, I do nt have any detail on Trevor on the Greeves but I have created a page on the www.classic50racingclub.co.uk site concerning the Yamaha the rode. http://www.2116680.c...-speed-yam.html

If I come across anything else I will let you know.

Found on thinternet - I do believe that is Trevor (no9) wrapped around the Silverstone, 6 is Rainbow Rod on the Cotton, 77 is Sir Percy on the Royal Enfield,

Great shot Tony .

And 52 is Billie Nelson, probably on what was called the "Doncaster Yamaha".

Dave did ride a Cotton and on reflection Rod rode the Higley Starmaker. Both tended to be a 'bit 'glamrock' for the period.

Who is that looking between Read and Oilwood? Is it Dave Degens, who probably would have been on a 'Macchi?

Scraping the barrell here, but I fancy Degens might be the third bike from the right, in the far distance, and possibly Everett behind number 6?

Great pics! Yes that is certainly Trevor, just as I remember him, especially the second pic (No 19), with that trademark silver helmet and the bandanna flapping in the breeze. Where was the first shot taken? It was one hell of a line up! Great days!

I was thinking the fairing looked more than a bit CR93 ish? Could it be Jim Curry who I think raced a big engined version ?

Looks like Bottom Straight at Brands

My thoughts were Cadwell, as it looks as though they've just left the start & sweeping left into Coppice/Charlies. Although the track does look a little wide

The photo did say it was Cadwell Park.

I know Jim Curry did use a 182 cc Honda but the bike here has leading link forks and Jim never used a 'jet' style helmet. Or did you mean the rider peering between Oilwood and Ready, not number 6?

Yes, the bloke between Read and SMBH. As you say, definitely Cadwell.  It must be '66, about the time Curry was up with the hotshots ?  Not a lot to go on in the pic, although for my money the rider looks to be not chunky enough for Degens.
