They get extra intermets. They are runnining a lot because it is usefull to "drive" the full wets a bit, they are faster if they are a bit used. In case of rain of course just for beeing safe
Thanks !

(doesn't count for wet tyres)But wasn't there as well additional tires to promote running in the first half an hour? Or is that what you meant with the intermediates ?
Here are the relevant rules
b) Except under e) below, no driver may use more than four sets of intermediate tyres and three sets of wet-weather tyres.
e) If either P1 or P2 are declared wet one additional set of intermediate tyres will be made available to all drivers. Under such circumstances, one used set of intermediate tyres must be returned to the tyre supplier before the start of P3.

Maybe this is the day the circus returns to running in rain, Exb ;-)
Fingers crossed, but I doubt it (to be honest I'm just up to see if I can add anymore colours to my engine chart if McLaren take more engines )

I mean to ask if they could do better in rain than in the dry.

Definetly. I expect them to be 4th in the wet (behind Merc, Ferrari, RB) on par with Toro Rosso. Points would be possible but more difficult than in Hungary thoughHow is the McLaren downforce ? Better than their power units ?

Just checked and the race will start at 2AM for me :-/ Skip it or not to skip it?
Not a serious question surely? Obviously not skip it (but then this is from a crazy person up at 2.00 for only FP1 )

First to fit the intermediates was he?Bottas must've crapped his pants there, so close to burying it in the barriers.

I'd say you got lucky, a good number of laps by multiple teams in the rain today!
