Yeah I understand that but I believe that to be how the others interpreted it. Certainly I did.  The would could also imply he should have been penalised but wasn't.

The English language is a bit funny like that isn't it.

The thing is I'm not sure how anybody can debate the legality or otherwise of the things that happen on track without referring to the regulations. There have been a lot of references to them in this thread but nobody actually quoting them, so I thought it was important to put them here because although we all have our opinion on what is fair that isn't the necessarily the same as what is allowed.

It's **** when he does it, it's **** when anyone does it, and it's **** when Hamilton does it. It especially sucks because he is the person who needs to do it the least!

This is a horrendous strawman but I'll say it anyway; your condemnation is only made more amusing by the fact the helmet in your avatar was worn by Schumacher during Hungary 2010!

I just finished watching the race recording a few minutes ago. Didn't pay much attention tbh but looked like it was a little more entertaining than the last few races with at least a few battles all around the pack, and the interest of how many positions could Rosberg claim back. Not a thriller but a decent race.

Highlight of the race was definitely Alonso's radio message. He's driving the wheels off that thing, and no wonder he's incredibly frustrated, with the adrenaline kicking in even more. But it really wasn't wise to say that on Honda's home track. Ron calling him out publicly is even more amusing, surely he should try to play it down instead of adding more fire to this story. Given the history between these two you can't help but wonder if this is the beginning of something nasty again...

I must admit I was watching it so casually I don't even remember Hamilton pushing anyone out.  Must've been the first corner move on Rosberg, the replay was pretty bad but I don't remember anything out of the ordinary. I agree drivers pushing others out shouldn't be allowed though (and I believe it isn't, but the rule should be enforced)

LOL

Erm am I missing something really obvious? Where did the "LOL" come from?

so if it was rosberg in Lewis's position, and lets say, Riccardo in rosberg's position. Would there be an issue?

I thought first that this are the cars before the start which would have been quite funny if you look at how the cars are on the grid, but maybe it is the initial getaway.

Yep the getaway.

How about Verstappen instead? If he did it, I'm sure they would be shouting his praises- "Best thing in F1 now", "signs of a future WDC", "Sainz is so "lame"" etc etc...

Sadly this argument is probably going to dominate the threads until the next race.
