How the hell did you arrive at that?

You know, no-one really stood out, so this probably isn't fair. At one point early on though, he was lapping a second a lap slower than Vettel, on the same tyres and in clear air.

Best Driver: Hulkenberg perhaps .... or Rosberg coming back to 2nd after being run off the road
Worst Driver: I dunno ... who do you want to blame for the Massa/Ricciardo thing .... or Verstappen for taking so long to pass a HONDA?????
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Rosberg on Bottas
Best Moment: Alonso/Verstappen and the fight around them.
DRS + Tyres:

And the race in a sentence: Some good fights midpack as usual, without which there was nothing much to cheer about.

I gave it a 5, would have been a 6 if FOM had not screwed the pooch on the coverage.  The lack of press conference coverage bugs me more and more with every race it's missing.

Best Driver: Lewis Hamilton - Had the pace to run off and hide but kept it reasonable.
Worst Driver: Carlos Sainz - I like him but it was pretty stupid the way he hit the bollard on pit entry.
Best Team: Mercedes - Only issue really was a little overheating but that's down to the driver to manage.
Best Overtake: Rosberg on Bottas - It was precise and wonderfully done.
Best Moment: Alonso & button on the radio.  The lack of sound during the podium interviews nearly saved us, shame the sound came back.
DRS + Tyres: Tyres were okay, DRS should be disabled when trying to overtake a McHonda, it's not needed to overtake them.

And the race in a sentence: FOM coverage was pretty poor, the racing was only ok but we almost got a full field of finishers for the first time in the Turbo Hybrid era.

I voted 2, because it's an awesome track, on par with Spa, IMO.

However, such a dull race, and the damn cameras were all over the place.

Please rate the race objectively and not based on your favourite drivers result!

Best Driver: Hamilton
Worst Driver: Raikkonen
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Verstappen
Best Moment: Verstappen overtake
DRS + Tyres: As always DRS did nothing to enhance the race.  Regulating tyre pressures is ridiculous and potentially dangerous.

And the race in a sentence: Boring for the podium places.  A few good scraps further down.  Cameras should have shown more of Vettel vs Rosberg; it seems I'm not the only one who wondered what the producer was playing at today.

Can someone please explain me what has Hamilton done in this race to be considered the best "Driver of the Race" when compared, for example, to Hulkenberg coming from 11th to finish 6th or Verstappen coming from 18th to finish 9th.

Something else to consider.  Compare the fastest laps of both Nico and Lewis and at what point in the GP it was set.

You do realise Verstappen was on the hard tire vs the medium tires of Alonso. It kind of counters a big part of the difference between cars. But at least gave us a nice fight instead one that would be over much faster.

Mercedes probably had to take one last weekend instead of losing the win at Monza, but well no I just want to say that this was crap. Mercedes whatever they have it seems they just push in an overdrive, and McLaren having a poor engine and so on. I gave it a 1. This is one of the best tracks and we get this.

Something else for you to consider:

- First: Nico was using scrubbed (used) tires in the third stint. Hamilton had new tires!

- Second: Rosberg set two purple sectors in his outlap taking even more life out of his tires just before setting his fastest lap of the race

6/10.  I've been out all day (VSCC race meeting) and have just seen the BBC3 highlights.

Best driver:  Hamilton with Verstappen a close second.

Worst driver:  No-one stood out, but Bottas was a bit flat, I thought.

Best team:  Given Ferrari misjudging Vettel's stop which allowed Rosberg to get the undercut, I'd say Mercedes.

Best overtake:  Several contenders, especially Rosberg (for once) on Bottas, but I can't see past Verstappen on Sainz.

Best moment:  Rossi avoiding his team-mate after his spin at 130R.

DRS and tyres:  OK.

Race in a sentence:  Not awful, but a great circuit should have better races than that.

1/10. Boring race, poor coverage.

Best Driver: Nico Hulkenberg
Worst Driver: Sainz was brilliant till that crash with the bollard, Ericsson maybe
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Nico Rosberg on Valterri Bottas
Best Moment: Alonso's radio messages

DRS + Tyres: DRS was dumbed down, lot of hue and cry about tyre pressures but it turned out okay in the end.

3 - Can't believe I got up for that missing my first chance in months to have a lie in. Doesn't matter too much though - I fell asleep half way through :)

2/10   Boring race, how anyone can vote it any higher is beyond me

Best Driver: Nobody really stood out tbh, the race winner I guess..
Worst Driver: Nobody stood out here either, possibly Stevens I guess because of that big spin.
Best Team: Mercedes, still the best car by miles.
Best Overtake: Rosberg on the Williams.
Best Moment: Alonso's radio
DRS + Tyres: Ok

And the race in a sentence: It's a nice track but the race itself was a bore as per usual.

Heh, true, although on the flip side of that are the people who repeatedly vote the races a 0, 1 or 2, moan about how boring it is or how they fell asleep (as if they couldn't just go and do something else), etc, etc. The 10/10 voters may be on crack, but I think the other lot, to put it mildly, are a special breed of idiot to continue punishing themselves.

Then there are the F1 fans, who give the race a 0 while admitting they didn't even watch it.

2/10.

Best driver: Hulkenberg

Worst driver: ------

Best team: Merc

Worst engine: GP2 engine

Best moment: Bernie ignoring the Mercs

DRS+ Tyres: We need softer tyres. And even if it results in a slapstick race, everything is better than this.

The option 10/10 should not be available after such races. Same for 1/10 (Indianapolis 2005 is the only event deserving this), it just attracts trolls.

1.

Didn't see it, it was on at 2:00am and apparently is no longer worth a semi reasonable daytime airing.

Evidently the race was so incredibly boring, when I checked in at 8:00am (EST), the race thread has already disappeared from the front page of the comments section.

I stand corrected.

So you've basically come here just for trolling with your "1."

The best moment (for me) was having no contact after the Stevens spin - I was very happy that Manor didn't have injuries to cars or drivers.  Considering there was quite a cloud of tire smoke, it was either good fortune or great judgement by the drivers who got through it.

Not a race worthy of the track, I'm getting to the point where I'd welcome a high-end spec series with truly equal cars that had great mechanical grip, 800+HP, sensible ground effects aero to allow close racing, and (as an assist for passing) iron/steel brake rotors.  I'm also thoroughly ready to see the back of Pirelli, and have a proper racing tire again.
