You should have included the phrase "Bugatti track" in the tittle.

Or at least mickey mouse.

Well, the first thirty seconds were promising.
But that sound... with that they can drive the Bugatti track for all I care.

I liked the burnout at the end with lumps or rubber flying off

Has an F1 care ever gone around the full circuit?
#10
Posted 02 October 2015 - 16:36
Wasn't the Bugatti circuit the first to earn the name "Mickey Mouse circuit"? Graham Hill, I believe.

The Bugatti circuit is Le Mans without the best bits. But damn, I forgot how good F1 cars used to sound.

No.
Now F1 at Indianapolis (and the proper oval, not the slightly rubbish road course) - that I'd much rather see. Just to see how many laps Maldonado could do before he ended up in the wall.

Certainly not, if even unlimited WEC cars are too risky ...
#14
Posted 02 October 2015 - 17:11
I'd like to see Le Mans (Full Course) on the F1 calendar, if only for a French GP and another option for me to go to a race.
#15

He wasn't even pushing

Sort of. F1 powertrains have gone around the full circuit a few times: the Cosworth DFV was quite popular with smaller teams in the 1970s and early 1980s, and the 3.5 liter V10 Peugeots and Toyotas fought for the overall wins in 1992 and 1993.

Im convinced that he would win because everyone else would be to scared to drive against him...No.

Presumably Ferrari and Matras too?

Yes indeed, the 312PB and the MS650/670s pretty much shared engines with their F1 contemporaries.

Wasn't the xjr14 cosworth hb engine a detuned Benetton f1 engine also? Although the xjr14 only practiced.

Personally, while the long straights add 'character' to the full Le Mans circuit, they prove to be a super boring aspect of the the entire track. Straight->chicane->straight->chicane->hairpin = barf.
First third and last third of the track are brilliant though.

Just shows how pathetic current onboard cameras are.
I'd imagine it's easier to record a much higher quality video which is stored on-board for later play back and editing than to broadcast live. Although I am sure the on boards could be better technically, I doubt you'd get that level of quality, but I'm not an expert.

F1 at the full Le Mans is too dangerous. Its too bumpy for an F1 car.

I`d be happy to see them here!!!!!

It's not that fast is it? Or is it just me. I mean it's with Pirelli demo tyres which by the looks of it don't give any grip. Oh well, nice PR but the track is designed for 2 wheels not 4. For that you need the real Le Mans lay-out.

Le Mans has a lot of history, but it's not an exciting circuit by any stretch. It would make the old Hockenheim look interesting and challenging.

Where would they overtake?

It's a crap V8.
keep F1 away from Le Mans, they've already ruined enough circuits
FIA is the one that ruins tracks, and they've already done the damage at LM.

Sounds fantastic, the 2.4 V8s were something of a throwback to the thoughroughbred F1 cars of the 90s. Of course V10s and V12s would be nice, but even a throwback to the 3.5L Judd & Cosworth V8s is still not half bad, can't complain about that!

It's a crap V8.
V8s are still better than a turbo hybrid... Sounds like Schumi's Benetton-Ford... surely that is not a bad thing, even if it is not as special as the Ferrari V12?
#36
Posted 04 October 2015 - 19:16
Where would they overtake?
Same places that the LMP cars overtake?

Had an access all areas for that one
The sound of that Macca echoing down from the top of the mountain was something to behold
