There's another silly endurance race going on than some lovable and awesome Aussie tourers going up and down a mountain.

But this one doesn't have Bourdais, de Silvestro, Ambrose, a dude named vanG and a certain WINcup,

But us lazy Europeans have Webber, our very own de Silvestro: Hartley, a dude named Lotterer and PATRICK DEMPSEY.

Action is go, 5 and a halfish hours to go. Don't forget about Bathurst though: http://forums.autosp...000-11-october/

This has been a fantastic race but I'm what the hell was that G-Drive car up to - I'm furious, he should have had a penalty for the 1st time he spun and gave the #47 a puncture, but that 2nd incident     (I may be a bit biased when it comes to the KCMG car but that was totally out of order) Some nice driving from Bradley before that as well to keep his position  :(

Anyway really close fights in all the categories, well done to Porsche (some good battles with the Audi and #17 car) feel a bit sorry for the #18 crew but I guess they had no choice in the championship battle and with the Audi's also swopping places..

Watched until there was 1h left, then had to go out.

Really great racing, great having these great drivers and top manufacturers, and a multi class diverse field is great. i watched 5 hours straight and was still wanting more. (in comparison i couldn't live through qualifying yesterday in F1).

Can anyone tell me how the #17 overtook the #18? when i left gap was steady at 50s

The first two or so hours (of racing) were good fun, but I was very disappointed by their decision to put in a Full Course Yellow right in the middle of an important strategic moment of the race.

I get that a car way out in the gravel of T1 is a problem with such a long straight, but a FCY seemed too F1-esque for a series that has done so well with the local slow zones.

Oh well; it was nice to see some wet racing.

#18 got a drive-through for ignoring yellows but surely it alone wasn't 50 secs.

Team orders. Audi put theirs in first by pitting the #8 with a few minutes to go to get the championship-leading #7 in front (in 3rd), so Porsche responded to that and swapped their cars around. So instead of 2nd and 4th, the first two cars in the championship finished 1st and 3rd, which turns a 10-pt lead for Lotterer/Fassler/Treluyer into a 1pt lead for Webber/Hartley/Bernhard.

Germans.

And of course, with Yacaman pulling a diversion by pushing the KCMG car into the wall, nobody noticed.

Stewards found Bradley (KCMG) brake testing Yacaman, though KCMG appeals saying the GPS was inaccurate.

Decision suspended after the stewards had a look at the KCMG telemetry. Sadly they're not going to make a final decision until the next race.

just watched the race. what a battle between webber and fassler.

However in lmp2 after jackaman drove into the 47 several times including putting the 47 into the a high speed crash with the wall. he should have been dsq but it was the 47 that got a reprimand. i thought maldondo and ceccoto jr were dirty drivers but i think jackaman should be banned from the next race his driving was that bad.

at least in this sport its the ontrack action making the headlines unlike that series thats run by some guy called bernie

Reprimand for the 47 has been suspended after the team appealed and brought forward full telemetry data from their car. Final decision on that incident will be handed down some time before the next round.

No penalty for Rusinov for driving into the back of the 47 previously?  It looked like a concerted attack by G-Force.  Some of the most blatantly dangerous driving I have seen for a long while.  At least Maldonado does it due to incompetence rather than deliberately.  Jacaman ought to lose his licence for his behaviour.
