The weapon with which KTM will face the challenge of the MotoGP World Championship has already fallen on the track. The theater's first shakedown was the Red Bull Ring in Austria and the RC16 was led by Alex Hofmann . Photos of the bike have been circulating in social networks (and this made it impossible to trace the source)
As previously stated by the company, the frame trellis, a solution that no other house adopts more prototypes , while the swing arm is as usual aluminum. The suspension is White Power (brand owned by KTM) and Akrapovic.
For the rest, the RC16 does not seem to adopt highly innovative solutions and the bike is very similar to direct competitors

Not sure about the muppets bit - the current situation does not show Dorna as a great example of organisation.

also, they have a bucket loads of commitment with Repsol Honda motogp team and the title sponsor of current WRC champion VW team.

Obviously not. Red Bull prefer series where they can leverage their deep wallet and which allows for them to acquire an "unfair" advantage. MotoGP tries to keep all manufacturers happy and money only goes so far in a somewhat restricted series.
