Hello everybody, my name is George and Im located in Europe.

This thread is adressed to the engine builders....

I need your help for the building of a twin Hayabusa engine....

I have 2 Hayabusa engines avaliable and I would like to match them together ,

in order to build a single V8 Hayabusa engine.

For this thing is required to be designed the commun drive who will mutch the 2 engines together and will make them go on.

This thing has been allready done but nobody gives the plans for this thing,

so, does anybody want to help me out in this concept?

I need the plans because a friend of mine has a small  CNC factory and I can build in his place

the crankcase and crancshaft and anything else in a very convinient price.

In case you can not help me, could you suggest somebody who could do this work for me?

thank you very much,

waiting your replay

Hartley were the ones that kind of pioneered the idea, weren't they? I doubt they'd send over all of their CAD files but maybe worth contacting them.

Ditch the V8, Just run them next to each other if you have the space. It would be really cool to have a look at the work you would put in ofc. to make a V8. before and after machining etc.

I think a few people have done this style conversion. Really all that is original is the heads, barrells? You need a crank, crankcase, make all the cam timing work etc etc etc.

Either buy one from people that have done it or just focus on a 'normal' engine

The whole proces was covred in great detail in an old copy of Racecar enginering. Be warned though , it might have ben self build but theuy had access to a casting as well as a CNC capacity

Already done. Both by garage builders and pro-engine builders

Probably best known would be the ones developed by Radical - at the time referred to as the powertec motors

Currently utilizing Hayabusa heads, with custom crankcase and crankshaft.

Hartley, as mentioned by Chubby-Deuce

If you want to do this for the challenge - go for it. If you want to save money - buy one ready made.

How well would the two engines work if used separately but driving a common gearbox ie by chains or gears.

I have seen this done before but I guess it is a compromise.

I have seen  a car powered by three engines (not Hayabusa's) and it won our local hillclimb.
