Let me put it this way: thanks the the Honda engine, Manor will take the start of the 2016 Melburn GP and cross the finish line at the 2015 Abu Dhabi GP.

Haas and Manor. Haas will be boosted by having Grosjean though, who's likely to be considerably better than either Manor driver.

Haas' status as almost a Ferrari 'junior team' will be a boost for them though. I can see the likes of Sauber and even Toro Rosso falling back towards them slightly.

On more than one occassion, Manor was actually slower in 2015 than they were in 2014. Not even relative to the opposition, but in absolute terms.

Changing engines is nice, but it's no magical cure to the ills of a bad car.

I fully expect Manor to be right there at the back again in 2016.

Didn't know that but it wouldn't surprise me - exact same engine, the car that had to be modified to meet the new rules (so if anything a slight loss in performance surely, as it would have been a compromise of the initial design), and drivers who are decent but probably not as good as Bianchi was.

The unknown I guess is the performance of the tyres used at Circuit X in 2014 and 2015 - genuinely don't know on that one.

(I still expect Manor to be last next year, more so after the Booth/Lowdon news, so not really debating that point, just thinking out loud)
