Interesting segment in the current edition of BBC's 'The Travel Show', which airs several times over the weekend on the News Channel (and I think also on BBC World?) and is already on iPlayer. It centres on Abu Dhabi and while the blurb concentrates on the new Louvre and the revival of traditional musical instrument making there's also a report on local motor sport.
The big thing seems to be dune racing - a spectacular combination of hill climbing and drag racing. Fire-breathing 4-WDs! Well worth ten minutes of your time.
