Jim Curry's book is excellent. Get it. Has anybody read the new book on SMBH's Mondial?

Yes.

Written almost like he is talking to you and lots of asides concerning his early life, the relationships that racing brings and good accounts of racing, not just a list of results. Good piccies as well.

Only draw back is it ain't 'arf 'eavy (being a hardback)

A recommended read and you get it signed.

Thanks, Tony, I'll get me mitts on a copy.  As previously mentioned by Barry, a scan of the results in the Guntrip book can throw up some surprises; for me Curry's name did not immediately spring to mind as a late sixties hotshot, but clearly he was more successful than I recall.   I think too that they're a handy reminder of how frequently some of the biggest names in the sport ever were duffed up by 'lesser' riders.
