Sad new from Australia Eric Hinton has passed away aged 81 pat of the great Hinton dynasty   Bill Lawrence

Sad news indeed, Harry snr, Eric and Harry jnr were great riders who showed their skills in Europe.

This was the era where they came from far away with very little funds, but rose to the top.

Yes, surely factory rider material from around the late fifties.  I recall Eric in about '69 on what I think was the first TD2 Yam in Australia; he was flying on it at Oran Park, I think in the lead, until it spat him off at the end of the straight after seizing.  He was very quick right up until the time he stopped racing, which was around the early seventies.
