I reckon that Renault are praying that PDVSA break their contract fully.
£30 million is nothing to Renault..... bearing in mind that at least 2/3rds of that will probably be spent on repair bills and fines.
Then there's the bad publicity......
Ergo: Having a guy who gets a penalty once every 2.4 races to front up your much publicised return is crazy IMHO.
So: Without beating up on PM - I hope that young Kevin gets a well deserved chance to relaunch his F1 career after being pissed about by McLaren..

Indeed, without beating on Pastor on this instance, I doubt that anyone would be against another chance for Kevin.

I also think that the likes of Bob Bell would not put up with Pastors on-track antics/performances for very long.
