026.jpgToday was the All Holden Day at Colley Reserve Glenelg. A new venue for this event after being at Tanunda for a long time.

I got there around midday [hence the color in the pics] and a few were already leaving. It was getting a bit warm.

I had been to Hahndorf Swap earlier and there was a decent display of cars there too.

But a good display of cars, lots of real Holden from 48-80. There was some of those cars with Common doors there too. I ignore them!

008.jpg010.jpg015.jpg014.jpg013.jpg A few Toranas first.

Edit, the one at the top. Rare beast. 308 LJ. But it was from new. Converted by the dealer.

1 LH SLR with VeryNasty engine.

2 A Brabham!!

31 owner Daytona Bronze LC GTR

4LJ XU1 clone 308

5 Barbados Green SLR with some very heavy wheels

6 LC with a real engine

7 Very original SS5000 Scratchback

8 A hottie 6 Hatchback.031.jpg030.jpg032.jpg

Some early models.

1 EK Special Wagon

4 EK ute

5 EK Special sedan

6 48 Van/ Hearse. With Chev. The owner in the background

7 Hottie FJ sed. With red motor.

The earlies as always are coming with a variety of engines, and transmissions too. Red motors as happened since 63. V6 Commondore engines, The van with a Chev. And an FC even had a Datsun  [RB30] motor. He was told he should be shot by committing sacrilege !!

Some even had grey motors!!

Gearboxes were autos in 48s, Toyota Gearboxes, Aussie 4 speed [ofcourse] and a Datsun auto behind the Datsun motor., 038.jpg039.jpg041.jpg047.jpg040.jpg048.jpg049.jpg050.jpg051.jpg045.jpg

Three are classic the last two not really024.jpg046.jpg020.jpg043.jpg035.jpg

That EH Premier is fantastic but I'd like that HG ute with the Hotwires for work (bit too good for that though.....) The only time they looked that good back in the day was in the showroom.
