Mr. Harkey was also a longtime member of the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg club which is how I met him, albeit only a few times. RIP and best wishes to family and friends.

Sad news, I always had a lot of respect for Bob. Guys like him worked really, really hard to compete, and he deserves our admiration.

I remember back when A.J. was at Indy and they were wondering about if he was going to retire, his response was as best as I can remember: "What? Hell, Harkey's still here!"
