I have two old b/w photos of races sometime in the 60’S , one is signed Alan Jacques the rider looks like he’s on a big bike Norton . The other is a  Sidecar team with one signature  of John Sykes , I’ve been through all my old books and websites can’t find a trace , any ideas people ??

John Jacques, something of a Manx GP specialist as I recall, piloted Kirby's AMC bikes for a while during the early sixties, and may well have had rides on a Manx at other times.  Or are you telling us that the pic shows the rider on a vintage Norton in the sixties ? 

 

Just had a gander at the Manx results wotsit and John A Jacques did pilot Nortons too. 

The middle inital could make it more likely that he's your guy me thinks   I can recall no photo of him without a space type helmet, rather than a puddin basin.
