Not historic racing directly, but many will perhaps be interested / sadened to read this report of Lord and Lady March robbed and assaulted in their own home.

Thankfully sounds like the injuries were minor, but a dreadfull thing for anyone to have in their own home.

The way it was all carried out is bad enough, but the loss of historic artefacts is terrible. They can never be replaced, and the only way the thieves could profit from them would be to destroy them, melt them down. Of course we're all sympathetic to Lord & Lady March, memories of this kind of thing endure for a long time, but it's surprising that the place wasn't better protected, they don't sound like high-grade professionals who carried out the robbery.

Terrible, my hope for them is to not live in fear after this. The cost of that far outweighs what was stolen IMHO, and I am thankful for them that at least they weren't more injured physically.

I hope they catch the perpetrators and endlessly jail them. I despise thieves with a passion, especially terrorizing ones.

My best in their recovery, may safe freewill find them again..

I was surprised to learn that their premises were apparently so poorly protected. It also sounds like the thief might have had some knowledge of the house.

I sincerely hope that Lord and Lady March recover their property as well as their peace of mind.
