A quite large portfolio of images from Hume Weir, Oran Park, Lakeside and Warwick Farm have been passed on by Ted's widow. Ted was not the photographer, however, there is no indication who the photographer or photographers were. It is an eclectic collection of images (not just the stars) from selected meetings. If anyone can provide an ethical or legal rationale (often quite completely different!) as to why these photos should not be posted I will cease posting. They are posted in good faith.

Listed as Warwick Farm, February 1965:

Note. Leephobia prohibits me from posting more than three images at once.

We have discussed the finer points of copyright almost ad nauseam over the years, so our views, as a body, and individually, ( my own desires for, and efforts at, searching for validation of certain articles' ownership have featured in this place) are well documented. You have made enquiries to trace the owner, and you are acting in good faith as they appear to be orphan files. You have put in a pertinent qualifying rider if anyone objects. The original purpose of this place was to act as a factual repository of the history of our sport. I am not aware that anything has changed. These photographs fit that category exactly. There is no financial benefit for you in posting them, and I am sure they constitute fair use. Moreover they certainly constitute being for educational purposes for those of us here for whom they hold a fascinating interest.
Thank you for posting them

I had a call some time ago from the present owner of this car...

He was looking for evidence that it had Webers in the Group M period, this photo definitely provides this.

And by the way, Lorraine Hill's Seven has a couple of nice 'girlie' dress-ups about it. And the Six is being driven by D. J. Johnston, if we assume that Marc's book is correct and complete.

Three pics are in the region of the Northern Crossing, Graham Hill in the Scuderia Veloce BT11, Jim Clark in the Lotus 32B heading into it, John Evans coming out of it. Lorraine Hill is coming out of the last left-hander of the esses and Johnston is approaching that corner.

Actually Niel Allen... trying to catch Wal Donnelly...

#14 - Ralph Sach in one of the first outings (if not the very first) of the Mildren Maserati.

#15 - Greg Cusack in hot pursuit of Ian Geoghegan.

#16 - Graham Hill, probably on the slow down lap.

#17 - Clark in the esses with the paper in the front of the car.

#18 - Rocky Tresise in the Davison Cooper in which he died two weeks later, Stillwell lapping him and Glyn Scott chasing.

I have discovered these images apparently come from the Bruce Wells Collection. Whilst that in itself does not require me to cease posting I have however found most, if not all, are available on another web site. Google 'Bruce Wells Collection'.

According to the site, Bruce Wells abruptly stopped photographing motorsport in 1967. In 2011 he passed on some 900 images from the '64-'67 period to the owner of the site.

If I find I have some images which are not on the other site I will post them here.
