WOW, eh?

It took me two damn days and nights to replenish my batteries after the Rolex 24 Hours. And I am sure that the fellow dudes and dudettes who spent that thrilling night of January here on the forums are filling the hype and fatigue as well.

INDYCAR_20309238.jpg

Sod off Rubens, you should've done more Indycar.

Fortunately, this Sunday we have more thrills ( The Bathurst 12 Hours ) and more spills ( Formula E Buenos Aires ).

859145-6b21b4a4-9f63-11e3-b163-d60ea6e39

Formula E may have 'Indystars(?)' Mike Conway and Simona de Stolemyheart, but Bathurst has this.

Unfortunately, the Sunday after that? Void as my bag of regrets and empty as my bottle of vodka.

So therefore, it is my honor to bring you the second installment of the hit series 'lets-watch-an-old-race-and-have-a-toast'-and-not-let-this-raceless-Sunday-cripple-me-with-a-partially-self-induced-existential-crisis.

-

And I'm not saying anything about that St.Vale nonsense. We pagans had our sabbath this week so I'll leave the chocolate to the feeble hearted.

But, at least, I will leave you with this:

So I decided to vote, not to give my opinion because my opinion is nobody elses business, but to prove that a poll does not need to make sense to be counted as revolutionary in times to come. Very often though, those times never come.

So are we going to combine results from the two polls to see which one wins?

What is the difference between Detroit '07 and Belle Isle '07?

It's whatever you want it to be.

I amended it. I actually am embarrassed. Sue me.

I honestly have no idea what any of these races are like, so I went by track instead. Road America wins.

No pressure, there will always be minor mistakes. It's not like the thread's derailed yet....

I saw a thread do that once. Luckily I got out in time but many people was trapped inside for days.

Evidently. Just having some fun.

Also, if there are other race suggestions, you can freely voice them out here.

It's funny how I am actually more excited about an old race then Rally Sweden which takes place the same weekend.

So tomorrow's the planned vintage race watch-pseudo-party. And it seems that Van '97 and Road America '99 are tied with the double-header as well - so why not a Van/R-Am double header?

Should we start it at the same time Sheep did in the previous thread?

I think we should randomly split the forum into odds and evens, watch difference races, and cross-post.

RA has one more vote now. I think one race is enough. We don't want to overload.

In this poll it does. What about the other (forgotten?) poll in the previous thread?

We can do one main race. And after that, for the dudes/dudettes who still have the stomach, we can do a double-header or something akin to what Ross said.

Sadly I may miss the party again. Oh well, there's a whole season of Indycar soon. Plus I got my fix with Montreal '05 I watched in the morning.

So with Rally Sweden done and dusted, how is a 5pm UK start time for the race/races?

There's still a tie between Vancouver and Road America.

In the other thread people seemed keen on a 6pm start. :)

I hope I'll be able to make this, it will be fun to do this again.

Vancouver '97 got the nudge over Road America, so 6pm UK time (30 minutes people), we go live:

or should we do it Indycar style - 6:33 pm, so that the rest will be here?

The US commentary team must have been racing through that grid because Ben Edwards can barely keep up.

Vancouver is such a cool track shame they don't use it in indycar.
