Noone has less talent than Carmen in F1 - that explains it pretty clear imo.
Still, she's the one that has the job.

Yep and that could be interpreted as disrespect to other drivers and to F1 as a whole.........
If she was hired to a position as (well, I don't even want to write it) that would be fine. When she is hired to a position as development driver, it's simply a joke.

Idk, Marcus Ericsson comes pretty close. He's blonde too.. if you like that sort of thing.

Carmen is not a real blonde, Marcus may be.

He is a racing god compared to Carmen..........
Carmen in GP3:
DNQ as the only one
3-8 seconds slow per lap
Back marker in a winner car - Stoneman won as soon as he took over her car
2014 qualified last every time
No fastest lap
no podiums
no wins
absolutely nothing to write about

Makes you wonder if there is some personal beef involved. Is the OP really Mr Sorensen? I think we should be told....

Is this a serious question?
She's attractive. She's good for PR.. etc.
I wish that female drivers could be taken seriously in F1, but it's become obvious over the last few years that even if they had the skills, they wouldn't be allowed to drive in the races. So what difference does it make? It's like a lot of things in F1.. an illusion.. PR etc. The most embarrassing thing I saw last season in the season opener weekend, was when a local Aussie commentator said to Jorda in an interview that he looks forward to seeing her in the races at some point in the future.. and a dead look came over her eyes. But what can you do? She still gets travel the world, get payed for it and experience F1.. and maybe at some point drive the car during tests.
I understand the point about the development, but it's just a title. Most development drivers aren't actually development drivers, even the males. Simulations and the race drivers doing tests (mostly during F1 weekends on the Fridays) do most of the grunt work. It's mostly done back at the factory and the on track testing is like the tweaking or fine tuning.
It's sort of frustrating but only if you take F1 at face value. There's a lot of things like this.. where there's an image or illusion and a separate reality behind the scenes. Cost cutting, eco friendly.. best drivers in the world etc etc.
It sort of taints F1 in some ways but it's just the way it is. There's also redeeming aspects of F1. You just can't take everything at face value.. or for example.. believe everything a team or driver says in PR releases. It's very selfish/political/financial etc. In this case.. it offers a illusion of being friendly/equal/progressive towards female drivers while at the same never actually giving them much chance to ever get a race seat. Sort of similar to the eco friendly stuff. It's not ideal but they at least need to TRY to convey these things in these (increasingly) politically correct times.

LOL Good one - sorry to dissapoint you though. I have no dog in this fight. I was just shocked to be honest as she is by far the one driver in F1 with least driving skills to show....if any.
