What to expect...?
Traditionally the teams are using the first test week to localize reliability problems. Lap times wont be important at all. As the test schedule is short cutted teams will also face a bigger challenge.
What are the talking points...?
McLaren-Honda will be in the spotlight. It will be interesting to see if the team solved the reliability and performance issues - or at least one of them. Similar applies to Renault, although it is expected for them that the improvements wont be that significant first. The start of the new Haas team will be interesting too. And also whether the Mercedes and Williams support brought Manor forward. Although performance wont be the top priority in the first test week we might get a first impression whether Ferrari closed the gap to Mercedes.
