Sorry to have to report that Ford's legendary mechanic has passed away.
RIP Mick it was a pleasure to have known you.

Very sad news. Got to know him first after he returned from ZA.

He provided me with so much insight into the very successful Boreham philosophy of rally car preparation.

Always happy to share stories which was a great help in various restoration projects and provided many smiles.

Straight talking, resourceful, quick thinking, a 100% bloke and a great friend,

 

So grateful for the knowledge and understanding I never could have obtained otherwise.

How very sad. I only really got to know about Mick via Richard’s Herts filmshows. He seemed to be most genial company and with a good memory of his career, he was inevitably a great source of information and anecdotes - a cherished member of the motorsports community.
