Reported on FB that "Pilbeam Mick" Howlett has passed away. 

 

His presence in the hill climb paddocks of the UK will be sorely missed.

Desperately sad news; everyone who had the good fortune to meet Mick will be feeling his loss. He was such a great bloke and would roll up his sleeves at the drop of a hat.

Very sorry to hear this. I had the privilege of being 'run' by Mick at Prescott in the orange MP62.  A totally enjoyable experience.  And there were some good times in Ireland as well.

He will be sorely missed.
