Very calm start into the season. Barty becomes the first leader of the season by predicting todays rather uneventful race.

The entries

Penalty breakdown

Perez FP1 Pit lane speeding Fine 1 point
Hulkenberg FP2 Pit lane speeding Fine 1 point
Giovinazzi FP3 Pit lane speeding Fine 1 point
Grosjean Q Pit lane speeding Fine 1 point
Perez Q Driving unnecessarily slowly Reprimand 2 points

Note that everyone who opted for Wehrlein will get the points for Giovinazzi for this round, because the change happened during the weekend. After this weekend you are back to Wehrlein again. Should it be announced before the race weekend that he will be replaced in China too I would strongly recommend to change your entry though

*Points from Wehrlein

Lance Stroll was the hot favourite this weekend, but despite a rather unimpressive debut he didnt broke any rules. Nobody went for Hulkenberg this round, same applies to the two Fins and Ricciardo.

----

I was asked in the Australian thread whether those players who are opting for the "no penalties - race" option are eligable to stil place points.on drivers for the remaining weekend (friday/saturday). I wasnt intending to allow this, but as I was asked I would consider it if the majority would agree to it.

If it will be implemented I was thinking of allowing this player to spend either 5 or 10 credits on drivers, but he will just get any points if his prediction for the race is correct. This means that if he scores with his driver Guesses on friday/saturday any points he will lose them all if something happens in the race.

Personally I believe that it's not neccesary, but I would like to hear your opinion too.

I think the scoring is fine as of now and a player who guesses no penalties shouldn't be allowed to place any points on drivers.

But what you could think about is adding a third no penalties option, "no penalties - FP1 to Q" for 500!?

Actually I was planning to do this, but then last season someone managed to speed in the pitlane before the race :p, then again you could call it "no penalties - weekend (excluding race)" or "no penalties - FP1 to pre-race". Yes, this is definetely something I would rather consider.

I will decide tomorrow, until then I'm open to any ideas.

Harumphhh.... I will naturally play regardless of what rules are changed in to, personally think that rules tinkering should have stopped at deadline for first race..
