A little before my time (but not much!) but anyone following the history of sportscars (and rallying) cannot fail to know the name, and I'm sure some here can add more to the tale..

Here's someone whose story really should have been told in a book. He had an amazingly long and versatile career, often in interesting cars. In later times, when serving on FIA duty in WRC events, Bernard Consten seemed to have a very bright mind and ready willingness to reflect on the old times. Wish I could have spent more time with him.
