It is with great sadness that I have read that Tom Dooley has died aged 90. Tom was one of the great legends of BRSCC, North Western Centre, being President for some years, and a stalwart power at Oulton Park. Perhaps someone can copy the BRSCC bulletin and post it here to formalise things.
For my part, he gave me assistance beyond my expectations when I started my research project years ago, giving me access to his Oulton programmes here at home. I suspect that that was symptomatic of his attitude to our sport and to enthusiasts.
I just thought that his passing should not go unmarked, sadly so closely after John Fielden, as I know they knew each other from way back when.

Tom was permanent fixture at Oulton Park in my formative years, and beyond, following motor sport at the country's premier circuit. He seemed to be immortal and his contribution to motor sport is incalculable. A lovely, helpful gentleman
