One more proof McLaren fans are so blinded and arrogant. ALO had a great traction, Massa a bit cold tires and yes the Honda engine help him to overtake a Mercedes-powered car.
What exactly is the problem with this?
I said the whole car did fly, I never separated anything.
BTW I always credit Honda for their efforts, obviously you haven't been around that much.

ALO clearly made a mistake as he ran really wide giving too much space to FI. He was so late on the throttle and Massa as an old fox capitalized on this
he ran wide and gave space coz ocon was inside and they would have crashed, that is great racing.

Give it a rest man i never insulted you or anybody in here.I usually ignore your stupid and useless posts, but I cannot tolerate this any longer.
You're the one who cannot understand a joke or sarcastic post and yet calling others blind.
I'm a McLaren fan, a very hardcore fan. When you make insulting claims, you insult me as well. For starters, enlighten me, how do you know that I'm blind and arrogant?
Unless if RainyAfterDailyLight got offended.
Lets start from this, even if the comment was a joke do you expect everybody to get it?
FYI i’m also a Macca fan since 1998 but people should start being fair and give credit to other organizations/team efforts.
That overtake was the highlight of this marriage, if only could have happened at the start of the season..!
Still i believe, McLaren-Honda is the best chance to beat Mercedes. Scoring points in regular basis and podiums here and there, well i don’t care. McLaren should be at the top and it’s been a looooong time loooong time

C'mon now, it's obvious as day Alonso initially came in too hot, dramatically compromising his line and cornering speed for the right hand sequence

Shocking when consider McLarens chassis was at it's worst that coupled with the fact Mercedes were withholding engine settings and what not.

The best thing to came out of those 3 years was seeing McLaren back at Indy, all the other F1 related things where laughable at worst and very mediocre at best. P5 for a team like McLaren and a driver like Alonso should be a bad result.

And the nightmare is over my gosh, three long years of this, can´t believe that we will now have a normal pre-season, normal pre-season starting development, normal Australia, no more potential unlocking, no more dyno testing bs, no moral size zero bs, no more silly endless translations that don´t mean a thing, no irrelevant upgrades dates, no irrelevant reliability updates, etc.
The high possibility of seeing a stable , strong Mclaren fighting closer to the front where it belongs!
I feel like its like this movie for Mclaren:

My personal "highlight" was being at the track for winter testing and seeing with my eyes how slow the car was on the straights and how strange the upshifts sounded. Acceleration out of the last chicane was a total mess too. I also remember waiting for hours to see the McLaren do just an outlap.

These 3 years were, by far, the most frustrating ones since I follow the team in 1990 or so. We sometimes had very hard years but always knew the team would win again sooner or later in a way or another. During these years with Honda I never had that gut feeling "we" would win again to a point that even in the near future with Renault I'm still doubting. And that was really the worst part of the Mclaren/Honda marriage, the loosin of hope, that feeling that the team might never recover from this nightmare.
But the strong reaction from all the team is also what makes me hopefull from the future. Never saw them getting confortable or complacent with the position. They still talk as a top team that has all the right to win again and that was the highlight for me of these past 3 years, so much hard work, never getting down and fighting as a championship was at stake.
To Honda, I sincerely hope all the best for the future, I will always remember them as the partners from 88 to 92 that helped Mclaren to be the most successful team at the time. This partership was also very hard and tiresome for them and obviously didn't want to be in this mess 3 years later. Like Mclaren, their name was dragged in the mud and they at least, tried to remedy this nightmare even if they were unable to do it. They will eventually be up there, I have a feeling they will be very decent with the new rules in 2021 and I honestly hoped they would be with Mclaren, but the Woking team wouldn't survive 3 more years in this state.
So, roll on 2018, good luck for Mclaren and Honda.

Talking of the tyre tests, I'm glad that Fernando is taking part in one of them. He seems really engaged lately, which is great to see. We'll also get to see him do all sorts of stuff over winter. Hopefully the time will fly past...

Saw someone post some team radio of Alonso asking where Stoff was and whether he could do anything to help. I have never changed my opinion on someone as much as I have with Fernando over the past 3 years, class act.
he was willing to give away podium place for Massa if he was a place behind for Massa's last race as ferrari driver in brazil 2013, but that didn't happen as Massa was penalized and ended up outside 4th place, this is not first time we've known fernando was willing to help teammate out.

Thanks for reminding me of that, I had forgotten that example.
