The date for the JCC 200-mile race was September 26th, a Saturday. I did not know that they held another 100-mile event the following month.

I don't have a date for this, but could it perhaps be the 1925 BARC 100 miles handicap (3-litre maximum capacity)?

1 JG Parry Thomas (Thomas Special)
2 JC Douglas (Aston Martin)
3 W Barnato (Bentley)

Sorry, Boniver, but I can't find any record of a race on October 25th. Certainly not a JCC event.

As far as I know, the final Brooklands car meeting of 1925 was a club event for the Essex Motor Club on October 3rd. The race that Vitesse2 mentions was the News of the World Trophy, held on August 3rd.

Hans is correct about the date of the JCC 200. Definitely September 26th.

If there was a race - well, Autocar didn't report it the following week, and there was no mention of it in Bill Boddy's "History of Brooklands Motor Course", and Rodney Walkerley's "Brooklands to Goodwood" has no mention of it either.

Where did you come across the reference?

Good morning!

I am hoping to be able to reanimate this old thread by asking if someone has a photo of the Bugatti from Captain Middleton D'Este who took the car to Brooklands for a record attempt in 1925, only to trailer it home and disassemble it. Never to be raced again. My neighbor aquired those parts and likes to rebuild the car as a "Replica" of the car, because the real car has been restored to original condition.
