Wandered in by mistake looking for Autosport.com (At the time early 1998 I think, Autosport was on Autosportmag .com) and I forgot the mag bit, which led me here.
I've often wondered how much Haymarket coughed up for the autosport.com URL, but nobody is letting on!

I thought long and hard about subscribing as I really enjoyed the mag. Problem is that I waste enough time in here as it is, without feeling that I must read the mag because I've paid for it. So I don't - yet. Perhaps when I'm self employed...:)

the autosport.com domain was never owned by us and was therefore not sold by us.

Beg pardon Bira - I've just discovered the PM you sent me months ago when I last asked the question.
Thanks for satisfying my idle curiosity (and halting the germination of a conspiracy theory)!

When I first got on the web I found #f1 on usenet for a chat room. There were quite a few interesting people there that I became friends with. Some of them built this place. I said wow. Quite a bit. I had wanted to do this, but someone else beat me to it (by a period of years) and done it with considerable more skill and panache than I could have managed. Now I'm just the proverbial bad smell Bira can't get rid of.

I subscribed within an hour of Bira popping into the chatroom and nervously saying "This is going to be big."

or something like that.

While in first year university, I was "working" in a computer lab and couldn't find a decent f1 site, so I asked the guy sitting next to me and he told me about Atlasf1. That would have been in September or October 1999. That was more useful than anything I learned that whole year :p

I was going to subscribe, but they don't have that deal for Canadian dollars anymore (I don't think) :(

I've been a member for a while, but don't post much, the IT manager here at work is a bit of a hardarse

I used to read the DailyF1 forums and found out about Atlas F1 from JSN.

And yes, I subscribe.

So bira, in the end, the certain unnamed (not anymore) 3-letter poster brought you fame and money.;)

I have to say though, Atlas F1 is by far the best formula 1 site I have found, even with its excessive forum moderation policies.

Found Atlas very early (1997 at the latest) through web search, and has been a regular visitor ever since. Disliked the idea of making it a pay site, and tried to make do with other sites. That lasted about a week and since then I subscribe. Will continue to do so.

I've been following the sport regularly for 35 years, since the 1967 season, which remains magic to me, even though I don't play GPL.
;)

I haven't had much time to spend on the BB and only registered to do that earlier this month  but I feel rather well acquainted with most of you people who post here after all these years.

Been reading AtlasF1 from the beginning if i remember correctly. Found a link originally on the GaleForceF1 site.

Subscribed because of the Montoya interview, I think, and also to show my support.

A friend told me about the site when it was still free. I really liked it then and about a week back, finally took the plunge to become a paying member. Haven't regretted my decision yet.
