Hi Friends!!

Has someone Pictures of the EMW of Edgar Barth, who raced in 1953 on the German GP with this car??

Also, I'm looking for pics of:

Emeryson-Alta (1956 British GP), Paul Emery
Fry-Climax (1959 British GP), Mike Parkes
LDS-Alfa Romeo/Climax (1962,1963,1965 South African GP), Doug Serrurier, Sam Tingle, Jackie Pretorius
March-Ford 1978, Patrick Neve (Not raced!)

If you have some Pictures, which I requested above, can you post them??

That would be great.

Thanks

Nils

I'm sure the March of Nève was published in French magazine, or maybe in Belgian newspaper (or simply the Belgian edition of Auto Hebdo). Had to check it...

Look at http://www.atlasf1.c...=781#post201618 for a pic of the March 781, although that is how it raced in the British F1 Championship. I don't know if it was ever painted for the proposed entry in the Belgian GP, or indeed if it was a serious entry at all.

The Fry can be found in David Hodges' A-Z of Formula Racing Cars 1945-1990, although again it's at a different venue (Mallory Park). Ditto the Emeryson, incidentally also at Mallory Park. [Makes you wonder, if the March wasn't photographed there as well... Rainer?] There's also a picture of an LDS/Climax, driven by Sam Tingle in 1967.

As for the EMW, try Mike Lawrence's Grand Prix Cars 1945-65.

I am not sure, but one of the cars had a smaller fuel capacity, but there are confusing hints as to which of the two that was. Since the second car wasn't completed until later that month, that could've been a reason for the DNA, if it was the one with the larger capacity.

Here is a picture of Barth in the EMW in 1953:

I think this was taken during the Sachsenring race.

For the LDS cars, you could try:

www.motorpics.co.za

It's a South African picture agency, but virtually instant registration is free to all. It can't be searched by car, unfortunately, but you could try e-mailing them from within the site:)
