THE SCUDERIA ESPADON AND ITS SURROUNDINGS

[...]

Rudolf (Rudi) Fischer is described as bespectacled wealthy Swiss restaurant owner and amateur driver, born 1912 in Stuttgart, and died 1976 in Luzern (Lucerne).

To end a long lasting confusion in Automobil Revue, 9/1981 (26. February 1981) on page 7 I found note, that Fischer´s birthplace was Schaffhausen / Switzerland. Stuttgart must be a mismatch with somebody else or something like that and is since distributed through the literature. And also there was never an issue of Fischer trying to get around the ban on German drivers by adopting Swiss nationality. I found also mention of him participating before the war in a Swiss event.
