Haven't recieved mine yet. You're right they usually come just before Xmas.

Wouldn't it be great if the bunch from Indian-no-place could get their act together
& send us the tickets before the summer

If by chance you mean Montreal then perhaps we should meet in Jax's Bar and we can discuss this over a pint!

"Indian-no-place" is an affectionate term for Indy, but can still meet for a beer at Jax or the usual Atlas gathering place on Crescent on race weekend. Can't remember the name right now as my brain is fried from all the Christmass partying.

Just got off the phone with the Air Canada GP people & they told me that only the Gold tix have been sent out & that the remaining tix would be sent in January. The reason for the delay was caused by a printing problem.

Happy Holidays!!!

Good to know. I was ready to spend half my day on hold (or busy signal) to the Air Canada GP office asking about my tickets --- as like others have said, they are usually received before Christmas. I know without a doubt that it was taken off my visa!

A little lightbulb went on, and I thought I should check with this forum before -- and there you go -- my answer. Thanks for saving me lots of time on the phone!

Nope. I've was thinking about calling. Someone above said their Visa was un-charged because of this... mine wasn't. I'll probably hold off calling till February.

my friend, who ordered our tickets, spoke to a woman at the ticket office, and was told that thousands of tickets had been stolen, and they had to be reprinted. sucks for them. i'm surprised to hear that they already sent some of them out.

My Visa was charged quite awhile ago. Wow, if the tickets were stolen that probably means they would have to re-design them. Oh well, fortunately (or unfortunately) June is a long way off. I hate winter!

I'm always anxious about it until I have my tickets in hand.

My visa was deducted in October, I believe. I'll hold off calling as it doesn't seem to change the fact. They'll come when they are ready. I'll be in panic mode by May --- but I'm sure we'll have them before then. She should have a notice on their website about this. Come to think of it, I'll check it out, maybe they do.

Anyone wanna by some Canadian GP tickets real cheap?? If they say anything at the gate about the picture on the ticket being different just pretend you don't understand French or English!!  :p

Andy pictures lots of fights in the stands as 2 people realized their tickets have the same seat number on them!!

BTW -"That Place" on Crescent is called Ziggy's!;) However we may have a change of venue this year to a larger place, still on Crescent though. Will keep you informed.

So I should quit reviewing my French then? We American's haven't spoken English in years anyway so that should be easy  I don't care much if it comes to that though as long as I'm sitting on the person's lap

Hey that's cool. Nothing against Ziggy's but that place is rather small. That's why we didn't hang around long. The Winston Churchill (I think that was the name of it was a real big place). Just don't pick JV's joint they kicked me out last year... OK they didn't kick me out... they wouldn't let me in based on how I was dressed supposedly. But when we went down there on Monday they weren't as picky and were practically begging us to come in... "No Thanks, not today Jacque" :p

O.K., I just got off the phone with the girl at Air Canada re-tickets.

It seems they had a problem with "the printing" of the tickets and so have been delayed. However it IS GOOD NEWS...

ALL TICKETS ORDERED BEFORE JAN. 01, 2002 WERE MAILED OUT LAST WEEK (week of Jan 27th). If you are in Canada or the US you should receive your tickets within 7-14 days. If you have not received them by the end of next week (Feb 15th), call them directly and they will look after it (514-350-0000).

Hope this helps!

Andy.

I got mine today as well. Hurray! They came in a plain brown envelope, so it really was a surprise when I opened them. (I don't recall if they usually come in plain envelopes, I'm pretty sure in previous years them coming in the white Grand Prix envelopes.

I'm very very very very very very very very happy.

WooHoo tickets showed up last night  Sec 24 Row OO. Can't wait.

We still on for a possible swap one day Wheels? This is gonna Rock!

Now I'm starting to regret not going to Oz; next year. That's a long way and want to make sure it's well planned e.g. not going just to see the race; but that is a large motivator ;)

Anybody in the States received their tickets yet? I'm in the Chicago area and nothing here yet. Of course with Chicago history of mail service, mine are probably under some postman's porch.

I live in Connecticut and got mine a while ago, about a month or so.

What was the deal with a bunch of tickets getting stolen and having to change the graphics and reprint them. Mine have a black background and a big picture of Ralf's head with his helmet on. Are these the newer ones?

Wheels, that sounds like a plan. We'll have to meet up at the Atlas headquarters Thursday (definately Friday) to swap.

Dick, I live in Seattle and got my tickets yesterday.

I bought two tickets in grandstand 15 (first time) this past Tuesday.
15 is marked as sold out but I lucked out as a group of tickets became available that morning when somebody or something failed to pay the $$$.

Sounds like Wheels will be trading tickets with F1Rulz and I - I'm surprised more don't trade tickets.

Also - McGill summer housing prices have increased for the Grand Prix weekend - $60 per night - hardly a deal for what you get.

"Hardly a deal"???? You obviously have not checked out the Hotel prices for that week!! Plus if you are coming from outside Canada, remember that $60.00 CDN is approx. $38.00 US or £26.00 British Pounds. If you ask me, that is a great deal for a place to drop your bags, rest your head for a few hours each day and get an all-you-can-eat Continental breakfast !;)

Andy checks to see if his shares in McGill have gone up yet?!!

Still no tickets here and I'm beginning to get nervous. Does anyone know if maybe they were mailed in order of section number? I'm in Bronze section 34. Anyone in the Bronze sections get there tickets yet?

Finally, got my tickets. I can breathe again. I was really starting to think they were under some Chicago postmans porch. I didn't want any ticket hassles since it took me years to finally get aisle seats.

That's normal. Tickets for Indy usually show in August. I think mine showed up the last week of August.

On another note got sent to the NW Vista this year. Anyone insterested in a couple of tickets?

Sounds good. Face value. No surcharges here :D You must have a connection to get ticket from the Speedway in J stand. I've been asking for the last 3 years and haven't got anywhere near H or J.

If you were to choose between GS 3, 16 and 21 -- which one would you prefer? Is GS3 better than the other two?

I would be more incline to GS 21. 3 and 16 are on the front straight and the cars will be moving at a pretty good clip. Others that have been there more times than me might have a different opinion. I'm in 24 this year.
