Welcome to the fans of the DEUTSCHE RENNSPORT MEISTERSCHAFT and watch my DRM site:
I need some help: I make modelcars and i need an information: Is someone know the color of the third motorsport Ford capri group 2(Stewart-Fittipaldi / 6 hours Nurburgring 1973) . I think it was white (and not white and blue like usually). I don't have a good picture. If someone have a good photo, it's fantastic.

not the car - but the crew. I hope you like it. I will search my archive - maybe I have something more to offer...

Re the Fittipaldi/Stewart car, do you have the related "Sport-Auto" issue ? I think there was a picture of it. Don't have it handy, so I can't check (I might be confusing with Stewart's Capri at the Castellet Euro Touring race).

The series were unique concerning the combination of touring cars and GT's, which surprisingly worked.
In 1977, full group 5 rules were adopted. To get a few extra cars, separate championships were added for group 2 and 4 cars later on.
In 1982, group 5 cars were still eligible, together with group 6 prototypes (!) and the new group C cars.
The series decreased and was finally not more than a short 5-series "Super Cup". Its title was more or less taken over by the DTM touring car series.

Now i will make my modelcar
It's true that the DRM was a fantastic Championship. Deutschland is always strong to organise this kind of Championship. The cars are very beautiful, with a lot of power and drivers are always like stars and very fast. We can see that again whit the DTM. But what a pity that they always need more and more money and sometimes too much money who die the Championship.

the pictures you've posted, made me think on the good old days, when a car sponsored by Texaco, could be driven by one chap with the Elf logo in his overalls...

I don't want to spoil your evening - but the devil's advocate in me rears its ugly head.
Yes, the fuel contracts were not the problem. The tyres were, however.
The Capri's ran normally on Dunlop tyres; but the Stewart/Fittipaldi car had to race on Goodyears, specially made. The good thing was that in that particular race, Ford didn't have a chance on any tyres...
