If I wake during the night and find it difficult to go back to sleep, this is a simple game I play using my (illuminated) digital clock. I try and match the hour and minutes displayed to a car make and model. Example: Time is 2:46 - Ferrari, of course. It's valid from 0:00 to 9:59 (something springs to mind there surely) although by 9:59 I should be safely at work. It's surprising how many hour/minute combinations one can match.
The best thing about the game is that it quickly sends me back to sleep. When I can't be bothered waiting for the next minute to click round I start matching other numbers and this leads to cars I've owned; seen or dreamed about......
Am I a bit odd, or do others play the game?
0:00
0:01
0:02 Citroen 2CV; Triumph TR2
0:03
0:04 Renault 4; Triumph TR4
0:05 Renault 5; Triumph TR5
0:06 Triumph TR6
0:07 Austin 7; Lotus 7
0:08 Standard 8; Morris 8
0:09 Singer 9
0:10 Standard 10;
and so on. Give it a go - it might help your insomnia.
Nick.

Nick ;
Interesting game, might try it sometime. I'm just afraid I might get too involved in coming up with cars, though.
Usually a nice Nicaraguan (Can't get legal Cubans in the USA yet) cigar and glass of Abelour Scotch do a most satisfactory job of putting me under . . .

2:03... that's okay... 2:04, accepted with a sneer... 2:05... front wheel drive!
And it will be getting late before we get to 4:04...

Ray, over here we're closer to 5:04 than to 4:04. Anyways, I'm way past my 1:26...

Just to add missing numbers:
0:01 McLaren F1
0:03 Renault 3 (French market only version of R4 in early '60s...)
Never did it with a clock but always tended to bother people with relating numbers when they pop up (in a card game, for example) to cars that share them.

Hey Nick, did you ever stop to think it may be the cause of your insomnia ??

I forgot the Jaguars - 5 through 10 - and that's just for the first 10 minutes. There are probably others.
Peugeots are good for a few numbers most hours, Ray - Ferrari fun for the 3:00's and Porsche perfect for the 9:00's.
I didn't mean to imply the game cures insomnia - it just helps pass the time. :yawn:
