Hi!
I've heard that Enzo Ferrari's co-driver in the first Commendatore's race was person whose name would be wellknown in the future (F. Porshe or somebody like this). Could anyone say more on the matter?

Regards

Could it be that the race you are thinking of is the 1922 Targa Florio? Enzo Ferrari and Alfred Neubauer both took part, but not as a team.

Ferrari's first team mate? One Nino Berretta ..accompanied him in a CMN tourer in the Parma-Poggio hillclimb on 5th October 1923. They finished 12th overall...Ferrari went on to be famous but not so Nino....Incidentally anyone else remember Tom Pryce driving the Chequered Flad Stratos over Eppynt? I was there...Dr Bill Moffat.

First race of Commendatore was 1919 Parma hill-climb where he finishing fifth. Who was his co-driver?
And who was his partner in 1919 Targa Florio where he was non-classified?

sorry..brain fade and age..details as per my previous entry but the year WAS 1919 and not 1923. They finished 5th in class but 12th overall. Berretta also sat alongside Enzo for the Targa Florio that year..they were initially unclassified but then reinstated as 9th (and last) after Ferrari argued that they had been delayed at Campofelice on the last lap by a visit from the Italian President. Happy days !
