Who can tell me, when the very first victory with a Marlboro sponsored car happened?
Was it Beltoise in Monaco 1972?
I don’t think so...
Maybe Siffert in Austria 1971??
Marlboro?s 1st win in F1

Throughout 1971 the BRMs carried Yardley sponsorship. I've looked through my 1971 Motor Sport mags and all the pictures from 1971 seem to back this up. I am almost certain that Beltoise's win at Monaco in 1972 was the first for Marlboro.

The first F1 car Marlboro sponsored, was Sifferts March in the Monaco GP 1970. But the first Marlboro victory was indeed Beltoise in Monaco 1972.

Yes, I think so too! Jean-Pierre Beltoise must be right!
A great victory with almost one lap in front of Jacky Ickx and the fastest lap.
Driven with only one hand!!!!
