The traditional Granja Viana 500 will take place November 9th, with the start at midnight. The race is scheduled to last for 500 miles or a 12 hour limit.

Defending champion Rubens Barrichello's team this year include Felipe Massa and Tony Kanaan. Tony replaces Christian Fittipaldi who will be racing in NASCAR in the same day. RB has won the race 3 times (1998, 2000 and 2001).

RB and Massa tested yesterday, and posted exactly the same time: 55.9 secs.

Other drivers confirmed for the race are Bernoldi, Giaffone (IRL), Zonta, Ricardo Mauricio and Mario Haberfeld (F3000), among others.

Montoya has also been invited, but hasn't confirmed yet. He would probably join Rubens' team (each team is allowed from 3 to 10 drivers).

The race organizers have confirmed 32 teams so far, with a maximum of 60 teams  allowed to take part in the time trials, which start Nov/4.

I dunno, but to correct my info, the organizers have confirmed 55 teams so far, and are already thinking about expanding the limit to 64 teams!

Apparently, they can fit up to 6 teams / 100m in the grid and still keep it within international rules.

Do you think it will rain again? If so, Rubinho and his team will walk away with the win.

Stop this mindless Ferrari bashing. The austria incident was just to protect Schumi from losing the title. And Rubens got repayed nicely,Schumi gifted him 3 wins
