There was an Emeryson at the 1957 Goodwood Easter meeting. There seems to be little doubt that this one was actually there, because it is shown as actually completing a lap before it broke down. But, does anyone have photographic evidence of what this car looked like?

But my memory of the Emeryson is, shall we say, minimal! If indeed he got as far as me more than once.

One car that is missing is the sports-racing Emeryson-Climax, a widened F1 car.
C. A. N. May, Speed Hill-Climb, G.T. Foulis & Co LTD, 1962, Page 161:
“Raymond Fielding had built a ‘Cooper Monaco’-type sports two seater onto one of the rear-engined brand new Emeryson Formula 1 chassis...”
So this car wasn’t a later modification of an existing F1 car.
This was campaigned in hillclimbs in 1961 by Ray Fielding, later sold to Gerry Tyack.
Looks like Ray Fielding (1961) > Gerry Tyack (1962) > Graeme Austin (1963)
A winner at Craigantlet in 1961.
I think this is the car here:

Does anyone have any photos of Mike Spence campaigning his Emeryson FJ in1961?
Have you tried the Linstones?

I think the Ferret Fotographic website is dead and gone, Roger.
Always best to contact Ted Walker by 'phone 01453 543243 (when he is not at a show or event)
I'm sure Ted will have something to fulfil your requirements

Cyril Linstone used to work for Paul Emery and worked on many of the Emerysons, he also has drawings etc.
His son Mark used to race an Emeryson Junior in historics and they've rebuilt a couple of the F1 cars.
You should be able to make contact through the link posted above.
Peter
p.s. Duncan Rabagliatti is also an Emeryson fan and should have information as well.

Try to contact Peter Knöfel at emeryson@web.de. He owns the car Spence drove, so maybe he has some period photos.

I recall seeing his car racing in the 1970s in the Classic Sports Car Championship which was sponsored by Michael Bowler's magazine 'Classic Car'. It was painted black but I can't remember the driver's name unfortunately.

Richard Falconer has an Emeryson Climax sportscar but I think that is a single cam Climax car and possibly predates the Climax F1 cars.
One of the Climax F1 cars (1004) went to Eric Liddle in Scotland and caught fire, the remains were bought by Robin Simpson who used them to build his Project 4 sportscar, many years later the Linstones returned it to F1 specification for me.
I think Richard's car is probably the Ray Fielding car?
