Lets make that trip to Melbourne, Australia to get the season underway and start to answer these burning questions!
As a result of the change in the FIA scoring system GTR has also been modified to be the first 8 places. Which means there are 80 points now on offer for each race.
Guess the first 8 places for the current race.
Your driver must finish in the top 8 in order to be awarded any points.
Points will be awarded as follows:
Driver finishes in the position you guessed 10 points
Driver finishes 1 off your guess 8 points
Driver finishes 2 off your guess 6 points
Driver finishes 3 off your guess 5 points
Driver finishes 4 off your guess 4 points
Driver finishes 5 off your guess 3 points
Driver finishes 6 off your guess 2 points
Driver finishes 7 off your guess 1 point
e.g. you picked Montoya to finish 2nd and he finishes 7th you get 2 points. You pick Verstappen to finish 2nd and he wins you get 8 points.
If you driver is disqualified completely from the results (like Frentzen/Bernoldi in Melbourne 2002) you lose 5 points regardless of their finishing position. Time penalties (like Panis in Melbourne 2001) receive no additional points penalty.
Please enter in the following manner
Your_Name/dvr1/dvr2/dvr3/dvr4/dvr5/dvr6/dvr7/dvr8
subing in as required. Drivers should be entered as the first 4 characters of their surname i.e raik for Kimi Raikkonen, vill for Villenueve, dama for da Matta, fren for Frentzen. In the case of the Schumachers use rsch or msch .
Entries will be accepted up to 15 mins before Friday pre-qualifying. Note the earlier time. Your entries have to be in a day earlier this year. I will accept pre-entries if you think you may miss a round. That is you can post your Malaysia entry with your Australia entry.

I have just started a web design/ e-business course and need to learn how to use Microsoft Access. What's that got to do with Guess the result? I would like to use your predictions as data for my database project and post the results as my entry into this competition if that’s cool with you all.
Cheers
Mark.
