One of my favorite cars of all time. I love the art deco nose treatment. It is a Fiat 1100S, rebodied by Ala d'Oro of Bologna, and was race #100 at the 1947 Mille Miglia. These photos are from the 2002 Mille Miglia retro..

I love the Deco style... it is generally, timeless design, but not that one... Sorry.

Absolutely delightful . . .except for that front end treatment . . .

BTW, is that a TR-2 behind it in the scrutineering photo?

Not sure, but think you are correct in stating it is a TR2 behind the Fiat

Proportions are good, nice stance, beautiful detailing around cockpit.

the nose is spoiled by the free-standing cyclops headlight. Surely that isn't part of the original design?

Sorry, have to go with ugly here. Reminds me of the Chrysler/DeSoto Airflow - form following function (although I'm not sure the front end of that Fiat is very functional). The roof treatment is interesting, though.

The hardtop is removable, and the big headlamp on the nose is a modern add on. It didn't have it in the 1947MM
