In 2001 there was a race on the morning of Le Mans for (I think) 1950s cars. At the time, they said that in 2 years time (i.e. this year) there would be a race for 1960s and 70s cars. Does anyone know if this is still on? Or has it been scrapped because of the Le Mans Classic meeting?

Also, a couple of years ago there was a Targa Florio revival, which by all accounts was a bit shambolic. Anyone know if there are any plans for another one?

Thanks

John

There was a LeMans Classic race in 2002; in September, but the race the day before the actual event has been scrapped, I think.

There is a retro Targa Florio every year, but it's not a very big event.

The Mille Miglia revival, in May, is by far the biggest actual classic car "race" (the most cars in one "race".

Of couse there are various festivals in Monaco, England and the US all year long, but most of the "races" within these festivals have 10-20 cars in a particular race....as opposed to over 300 in the "retro" Mille Miglia...
