The Association Sauvegarde du Circuit at Reims tells me that after the 1969 F2 meeting there were plans for extensive modifications to the circuit, including chicanes. Another source believes that one was to be before the bend bypassing Gueux, the other in the form of a roundabout at the Garenne crossroads. Do any TNFers out there know any more about these modifications, or better still have a map of what the proposed circuit was to look like? (We should be grateful that the course was not butchered in reality, but my curiosity demands further investigation!)
