Does anyone recall the name Fina from New York?
I think he was a tuner of sorts in the 40s and 50s.

As far as I'm aware, he was part of the Fina oil company family and was more an importer of cars (with Tony Pompeo ?) than a tuner. He drove a Nardi Alfa 6c2500 in the 1950 Palm Beach race, finishing 27th.

I think that would be Perry Fina and I've seen references to him in old Road and Track mags or similar.
