I've been set a little task - establishing the events that made up the early days of the British National Saloon Car Championship. It was established by the BRSCC at the start of 1958, but....
During 1959, 1960 and 1961, the contemporary press was virtually silent about it. Has anyone any idea which events qualified as rounds towards the final championship?
By way of a start, it is generally reckoned that the British Champions in the relevant years were:
1959 Jeff Uren (Ford Zodiac Mk2)
1960 George "Doc" Shepherd (Austin A40 Farina)
1961 John Whitmore (Austin Mini)
Any ideas?

Have you asked the BRSCC archivist, Martin Hadwen - contact details at
www.motorracing-archive.com
As it was a BRSCC championship I would have expected Motor Racing magazine to have carried the results?
