Round 2 and a full commentary. The new qualifying is making it much harder to guess where the final grid ends up. But then you didn't need me to tell you that. Given the unpredictability of where a driver is going to end up Gerry and I have decided to drop the 1 point penalty if your driver does not make it into the top 10. You now simply do not score any points for that driver. I have recalculated the Australia result based on this change and it did not make a difference to the top positions. You can check out the wedpage to find out what you ended up with in Ozzie see the link below. Now on to Malaysia. Top score of 15 goes to Frank Grimes and kismet. While 3rd place, on 14, went to race addicted and titrisol. We had 10 rookies this round the best being DeathMasteR and Professional who both scored 13. The GTG Popular Vote scored 9 which would have placed it 50th along with 34 others. Season to date the Popular Vote has scored 22 placing it 20th along with 18 others. The average score was just under 10. Most points were gained from picking Panis in 10th.

However, I think calculations in this round are not right.

Firstly, according to my estimates, I should have 10 points this round, not 11.

Then, the sum to get totals does not look right either. Together with 10 points from Australia, my total would be 20 or 21, not 24.

I have checked another poster and, for example, nigel red5 got 14 points in the first round and, apparently, 11 in the second one, but his total is 28!!

yes it is much harder this year
could you use a similar format to the results score??
and give more points like 10
and reduce as we get farther off
like I had a lot of drivers 2 places off their grid spot
but no points reward only the same 1 point as if
I had guess the pole man last in the top ten
whitch I totaly missed BTW
as I guess you all ready have a program for the finishing points
that you could use if we droped to top 8 on the grid
so no extra work for you

I had a SHOCKER with 9 points.

Don't worry - I'll bounce back.

At one point, I actually thought Coulthard had pole and MS was down in about 8th, but it was only because the F1live webpage had not been refreshed correctly.

It confused the living **** out of me on Sunday when I checked the results.

I think your problem could be that you did not read my commentary. Due to the more unpredictable nature of qualifying now Gerry and I decided to drop the 1 point penalty if your selected driver does not qualify in the top 10. I have recalculated the results for Australia based on this. If you visit the webpage via the link in the result you will see how I have calculated your score.

I guess it is worth considering. I will try putting something together. Although King Bernie has suggested there may be more changes to qualifying this year so I might hold off for a couple of rounds.

I completely forgot about the Guess the Grid results this week. Woo-Hoo nice bounce back from round 1 where I was 2nd from the bottom or something. I got wicked smaht in these last 2 weeks. Looks like I should keep sniffing glue when I make these picks.
