This circuit needs some precaution about forecasting as it has been prone to curious accidents/stunts (even out of the race: between Heidfeld and safety car in senna's esses, for instance). Surely you can remember some great Verstappen moments here, or that hair-raising Sarrazin accident in the startline straight, or maybe that "falling boards" show that Alesi liked so much...
Also, weather tends to play some tricks here, one of the best examples is precisely last year's race. All in all, it seems usually a difficult GP to guess (but I didn't search Forix to check if it is true!).
Anyway I hope we have a good show. And being so, I'm sure someone brave can do a guess that can catapult him/her/it to the front of the ranking
Now the usual thing, the rule book...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It consists in guessing the three firsts in F1 races. You do an ordered guess (i.e. MS-JPM-RS) and a score is given according to real podium results. The scoring system is as explained here:
Suppose you do the guess MS-JPM-RS.
If MS is 1st, 3 points
if MS is 2nd, 2 points
if MS is 3rd, 1 point
If JPM is 1st, 2 points
if JPM is 2nd, 2 points
if JPM is 3rd, 1 point
If RS is 1st, 2nd or 3rd, 1 point
It another driver makes a podium position, it doesn't give any points.
The key for this system is not "gambling" on the exact position but to do a realistic shot at the relative merit of each driver in that GP. For instance, you are not penalized for JPM being first and not 2nd, as the penalty comes by not scoring with MS's first position.
In order to have a reference I will enter two "dummy" players: Bernie and Max (the names were chosen randomly ). Bernie always guesses the firsts three qualifyers, and Max always guesses the firsts three classified in WDC current points table. Can you outscore B&M?
Any guess can be done before one hour before the official first start of the race. We will use the "official" Atlas Forum clock to resolve close entries.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Will be there someone brave enough to guess an one-two for Ferrari? (remember, Barry has to wear that HANS device). Will Frank be able with his wheelchair to outqualify Ralph Firman on Saturday? Will Justin be able to enter into his Minardi or he will have to race with Minardi's truck (what's the difference, anyway)? Why they never put shots of Copacabana (yes, I know it is far from there... but...)?
Thanks to everyone who wants to have a good little time guessing here, and now I will enter in "standby" mode waiting your posts
Good luck!

No a bad idea, actually.
It looks fun (and it was unintentional), so let's the thread's title that way
