No, Duncan...it was just me being silly, as usual. ;)

Favourites have included HOT1E on Roger and Judy  Andreasson's hillclimb Marcos 1600; BAD 541T on a mean looking TVR Cerbera and 222 HOT on a 911 Turbo.

My off-the-shelf plate ends with "ZPV."

I pretend it means "Zippy Volkswagen," then the right pedal does nothing all over again.

Good idea, park down the hill from the Jemmy Moss so it is an easier stagger back to the car.

A guy here in the north-west suburbs of Brisbane (who obviously has watched too much TV over the years) has an enviable pair of daily drivers, each with appropriate plates:

  • A white/ivory Volvo P1800 "ST 1"; and
  • A Carmen Red, on chrome wires, Jaguar Mark 2 "248 RPA".

He seemed surprised when I correctly called him out on the significance, but maybe I've watched too much TV over the years myself!

I saw a green Ford Transit yesterday. It had some yellow stripes up the front.

I'd be extremely surprised if the Audi I saw on the M5 last Wed (B10 LAB) didn't belong to BIOLAB Medical Unit London!

I was idly looking up some of the classic plates on the DVLA's MOT history site. Some have done very little mileage. NUB120, 11000 miles in 12 years. 2VEV has done 320 miles in 12 years.
