Henri, I think E.B.'s post is about the date of the race.
It took place on May 31st, so on May 30th - as you wrote - anyone would have been "in the lead by a full day".
OK, in which case I stand corrected.

Ensign reposted one of his wonderful stories from this thread in the Senna v Schumacher thread. This led me to re-read the whole thing again, and it made me shed a tear or two again, so I’ve bumped it to entertain any of our newer members who may have missed it first time round.
