Guess the podium: Austria

Austria's A1 is not what you mean when you say "majestic circuit", but for today standards it is not bad at all, and the scenery is unbeatable . This a main point for Verstappen, when you go in a Minardi you have lots of time to appreciate the landscape. Somehow this track tends to produce some good races (when they actually race ... see last year)
Luckily this year ferrari doesn't enjoy an as great perfomance advantage as last year, but one begin to wonder if with the new F2003GA it is not going horribly well again this year. I assume I'll see a lot of MS-RB-x guesses for this Sub-zeltweg track.
Smile seems frozen in a strange grimace in Mario Thyssen's face when TV interview him. BMW's engine must be powerful, but speed traps don't show it and marketing people in Bavaria maybe are beginning to ask things . Why Frank Head and Patrick Williams cannot find a good aero man after that bald clone of Fantomas? They should look into the "Technical forum", there are some people who surely must be genius , according to their posts ;)
Look at that "pirate" character, Briatore, he is doing it again . Poor Dennis, another foe to contend with after the MS-Todt-Brawn-Byrne gang retires. He (Flavio) seems to be an expert grabbing awesome people . First Schuey, then Alonso, and of course Naomi Campbell has good speed too.
I don't know if many people has realized it but Jordan's season is just horrible . Just that Brazil win tint it apparently. Lap times everywhere are, well, "wrong". Poor Giancarlo doesn't deserve it, he never seems to have the right to have a great car. I'm sorry for Eddie, who I admire, but there are times when I dare to believe they are the slower team this season. Except for Minardi, of course ;)
Rules:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It consists in guessing the three firsts in F1 races. You do an ordered guess (i.e. MS-JPM-RS) and a score is given according to real podium results. The scoring system is as explained here:
Suppose you do the guess MS-JPM-RS.
If MS is 1st, 3 points
if MS is 2nd, 2 points
if MS is 3rd, 1 point
If JPM is 1st, 2 points
if JPM is 2nd, 2 points
if JPM is 3rd, 1 point
If RS is 1st, 2nd or 3rd, 1 point
It another driver makes a podium position, it doesn't give any points.
The key for this system is not "gambling" on the exact position but to do a realistic shot at the relative merit of each driver in that GP. For instance, you are not penalized for JPM being first and not 2nd, as the penalty comes by not scoring with MS's first position.
In order to have a reference I will enter two "dummy" players: Bernie and Max (the names were chosen randomly ). Bernie always guesses the firsts three qualifyers, and Max always guesses the firsts three classified in WDC current points table. Can you outscore B&M?
Any guess can be done before one hour before the official first start of the race. We will use the "official" Atlas Forum clock to resolve close entries.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have received a guess by sek (via PM) : MS-RB-KR
Good luck everybody, we will meet in A1 (water!)

simply because Ralf can't keep avoiding the podium forever, even if the car is a dog

kismet: Little Ralf is not going by the wayside as many thought Maybe he gets a podium, maybe not, but sure that guess is worthy a try. I really hope nobody presses him in the race!

Although MS isnt as good as RB in Austria - he will win this won just to spite me - as I'll never be able to say "Austria is the only race MS has never won!!!"

gerry: what will happen if MS let RB pass to win following team orders? Maybe this will be the season MS will pay off Rubinho with a title
The new Ferrari is radio-controlled from the pits by Todt and Brawn. I think this race Brawn controls RB's car and Todt Michael's one. Then I think Rubinho is in advantage! The worst escenario is if Brawn or Todt are injured (for example, opening a can of beer) and Montezemolo has to control one of these cars. It happened with Barry's car in Melbourne and with Schuey's in Brazil. Luca di Monty always crash his car when someone calls him at his cellular, he cannot control the phone and the joypad at rhe same time.

Just as I do... (at no avail, lol)
MAX:
KR - MS - FA
BERNIE:
MS - KR - JPM
Schummy:
MS - KR - RB
Williams doesn't appear lately in good race form (they apparently cannot put the power down properly and wear a lot of rear tyres), so I didn't choose Juan Pablo. I cannot guess a podium for Sauber and then I find Rubens next in the grid. Trulli is not exactly Mr. Racecrafty and the rest of front runners are too back on the grid.
Next time, after the race, I will explain in detail why it didn't work this way
